About Athletes Against Autism

Athletes Against Autism (Triple A) is a group of athletes, personally touched by autism, who are harnessing their efforts into one voice in order to raise awareness and funds for autism research, treatment and education programs.

This is an initiative of Cure Autism Now/Autism Speaks. Founding members are NHL hockey players Olaf Kolzig, Byron DaFoe and Scott Mellanby. As fathers of children with autism, they realized the importance of using their status and influence to make an impact on the over 1.5 million people in the United States alone affected by autism.

Athletes Against Autism 2nd Annual Golf Tournament a Great Success!

Athletes Against Autism's Second Annual Golf Tournament, Presented by Cadillac, was held on June 24th & 25th at Bacara Resort & Spa and Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara, CA.  Welcoming over 35 athletes and celebrities from across North America, joining golfers, donors and supporters, the event raised over $350,000 in support of the research, awareness, education and outreach programs of Cure Autism Now/Autism Speaks.

Sunday evening, luxurious Bacara Resort & Spa was host to a cocktail hour, silent auction, dinner program and live auction.  On Monday, overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean, Sandpiper Golf Club hosted the golf tournament, which included a hole in one contest for a 2007 Cadillac Escalade, contests for Closest to the Pin, Accurate Drive, Longest Drive & Longest Drive, and an after event BBQ Dinner & Awards Reception.
